Below is a new clip from Fernando Mereilles’ upcoming Blindness. Based on José Saramago’s excellent book, and starring Mark Ruffalo, Julianne Moore, Gael García Bernal and Danny Glover, the film has been chosen to open this year’s Cannes Film Festival

The clip appears to be from an earlier stage of the blind people’s incarceration, with Mark Ruffalo’s doctor trying to bring out some order and discipline to their situation before it escalates into total breakdown and degradation.
