trailer park

and for our first foray into the world new and exciting trailers…..

first off the bat we have m. night shyamalan’s new film, The Happening.

looks quite dark. possibly darker than anything he’s ever done before. he’s certainly going in the opposite direction of his last (and least successful) film, Lady In The Water. the one shot of the construction guy looking up and seeing all his co-workers coming towards him head first…. thats quite upsetting. but if anyone else has read Stephen King’s most recent novel, Cell, then this may all seem a little familiar.

next we have one that has gone completely under our radar, until now…..

written and produced by Luc Besson, and directed by the guy who what did District 13 , this looks like it has potential to be a good, turn-brain-off-now fun film. its nice to see Liam Neeson doing something that doesn’t require him to be a nice guy, or a famous historical figure, and anything with Famke Janssen in it is okay in my book.

and finally, we have an asian-horror remake:

i especially like that the trailer starts off by declaring its executive producers brought us the remake of The Grudge and The Ring (not bad) but fail to mention that they also brought us The Grudge 2 and The Ring 2 (not good). Either way, this is a remake of very, very scary movie, so they should do a half-decent job of remaking it, if the trailer is anything to go by. but you can be guaranteed that the remake of Shutter 2 will be pants.

One response to “trailer park

  1. Is that Joshua Jackson. I was wondering what happened to him. Not to much though to be honest.

Also didn’t Wes Craven do most of that body horror stuff in ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ about 20 years ago!
