First Look at Scarlett from G.I. Joe

Channing Tatum as G.I. Joe is difficult enough to place an emotion about because Channing Tatum is still best known for Step Up and for being in 5 minutes of Step Up 2. It doesn’t seem to matter how many Stop-Loss or A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints type movies he does, if he’s not in Iraq breakdancing, or in 80’s Queens, New York dealing with a harsh upbringing with breakdancing, then appearantly we don’t want to know about it.

Anyway, the other big problem, aside from the fact that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Brendan Frasier and Marlon Wayans joining the already swelling with sub-par actors cast list, is that its directed by Stephen Sommers. As we’ve already mentioned, he directed The Mummy and Deep Rising. He is mostly known for ‘turn-brain-off-now’ blockbusters, and possibly the only way this movie can work is if they take it a bit more seriously.

But for those of you who think this director is capable of change, take into consideration the above picture. Yeah, she’s hot, and it looks pretty cool (not as cool as the Snake Eyes image earlier revealed on this site, but still pretty cool), but the idea of giving a character called Scarlett red hair? Wow. Originality knows no bounds. Also, on a different note, Stephen Sommers directed Van Helsing, who was a character who wore patent black leather, and used a crossbow. Not sure what brought that to mind……

  1. I really should post comments – oldest to newest.

I imagine they were just trying to be faithful to the original medium. She looks just like the scarlett action figure I had when I was a kid! 🙂

I’m really excited about this movie, lol.
