The Greatest Video Game Ever?

Official XBox Magazine: 10/10 “Amazingly realistic world; stunning action set pieces; genuinely engrossing storyline; hugely entertaining multiplayer.”

Official PlayStation Magazine: 10/10 “The scope and scale of GTA IV is beyond anything gaming has ever had to offer. A masterpiece that improves on all GTA’s best bits.”

Empire Magazine: 5/5 “Damn-near perfect.”

XBox World 360: 98% (the highest rating they’ve ever given) “Everything we were entitled to expect, and yet somehow impossibly more.”

IGN: 10.0 out of 10 in every category (the first film of the decade to receive such a grade)

MetaCritic: 99%

The New York Times: “A violent, intelligent, profane, endearing, obnoxious, sly, richly textured and thoroughly compelling work of cultural satire disguised as fun.”

Team XBox: 10/10

Daily Star: “This could be a console defining title, one that in years to come people will remember as the stand-out of the era.”

So, to answer your question, yes. It probably is the greatest video game ever. At the very least, since Sonic The Hedgehog, anyways.
